Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must be either
1.a Citizen of India or
2.a subject of Nepal or
3.subject of Bhutan or
4.a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
5.a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the Government of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her.

AGE limit:
(as on 01.06.2010)
1. Not Below 21 years
2. Not Above 30 years
Educational Qualification
Pass in graduation in any discipline with 55% or more marks in aggregate from a recognized University in India (50% or more in the case of SC/ST/PWD Candidates).
OR
Degrees which are considered equivalent to graduation i.e. Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (ICWA), Company Secretary (CS) as also qualifications in Management like PGDBM (Two years course from a reputed University) with 55% or more marks in aggregate (50% or more in the case of SC/ST/PWD).

1.Candidates are required to apply online through website www.syndicatebank.in No other means/ mode of application will be accepted.
2.Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID. It should be kept active during the currency of this recruitment project. Bank may send call letters for written test, interview etc. to the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, he/she should share/mention e-mail ID to/ of any other person.
3.In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line.
4.Applicants are first required to go to the Bank’s website ‘www.syndicatebank.in’ and click on the link “Recruitment”.
5.Thereafter, open the Recruitment Notification entitled “SYNDICATE BANK PROBATIONARY OFFICERS’ RECRUITMENT PROJECT-2010-11”.
6.Take a Print of the entire Recruitment Notification, including the ‘FEES PAYMENT CHALLAN’.
7.Fill in the Fee Payment Challan in a clear and legible handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS.
8.Go to the nearest Syndicate Bank Branch with the Fee payment Challan and pay, in Cash, the appropriate Application Fee in CBS Account Nos.01111150000481 or 01111150000496 or 01111150000501 with Manipal Branch in the name & style of “SYNDICATE BANK PROBATIONARY OFFICERS’ RECRUITMENT PROJECT-2010-11.

APPLICATION FEE (INCLUDING POSTAGE CHARGES) (NON-REFUNDABLE) :

For SC/ST/PWD
For all others (including OBC)
Probationary Officers
Rs.50/-
Rs.300/-

The fee for SC/ST/PWD is towards postage only and for others the fee includes postal charges of Rs.50/-

Requisite Application Fee may be paid at any of the Branches of Syndicate Bank, by means of a Payment challan as per the format given on the Bank’s website. The payment at Syndicate Bank Branches can be made free of charge.
